What Macy's Is Hiring For This Holiday Season

Macy's, Inc. spelled out its plans in its 2026 holiday hiring announcement. Stores are filling part-time seasonal roles, and the company scheduled three in-person hiring days at every Macy's: September 24, October 22 and November 19. The first one has come and gone. Macy's says event times vary by location, which is why the phone call matters.

Be clear-eyed about the odds. Oklahoma City isn't on the list of 10 markets where Macy's says store hiring is heaviest this year, and the company hasn't published a local headcount. The hiring day still runs here, but treat it as a real shot at a holiday job, not a guaranteed offer.

Macy's didn't announce a single pay rate. It says every posting carries its own pay range, so read it before you apply. The perks it lists include a colleague discount, a 401(k), medical, dental and vision coverage based on eligibility, and access to earned wages before payday.

🗺️ Why It's Penn Square or Nothing

Macy's own store directory now lists a single Oklahoma City store, at Penn Square, and just one other in the state, in Tulsa. So whether you live in Edmond, Moore, Yukon or Midwest City, October 22 means a drive to the mall at Northwest Expressway and Pennsylvania Avenue, just north of I-44 near Nichols Hills and Belle Isle.

Holiday retail runs on nights and weekends. For students or anyone stacking a second job, a store this central keeps the commute manageable through December.

Different Day, Different Event: More Hiring This Month

Looking for a full-time career rather than a holiday shift? The same Thursday, October 22, the Build My Future trades career fair runs at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds in Norman. Different event, different employers, different crowd. Our fall Oklahoma City job fairs guide tracks the rest of the season.
