OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — The metro's fall hiring calendar is unusual this year. There is no big convention-center job fair booked between now and Halloween, no state-run hiring blitz on the OESC calendar for Oklahoma County. What there is, instead, is a run of four campus career fairs stretching from Norman up to N. Portland Avenue — and every one of them lets alumni through the door.

Four verified job fairs across the Oklahoma City metro between September 16 and October 21, 2026. One of them brings more than 80 employers into a gym off S. May Avenue. Here is what is real, what it costs, and who actually gets in.

OU Sooner Showcase Career Fair — Wednesday, September 16

12:30 – 4:30 p.m. | Lloyd Noble Center, Norman

This is the biggest all-majors fair in the metro this fall and the closest thing OKC has to a general-audience event before November. The University of Oklahoma bills it as free and open to all OU students and alumni, and it makes a point of telling freshmen and sophomores to come too — which tells you the employers in the room are recruiting for internships and full-time roles at the same time. Four hours is a long window by career fair standards, so the 12:30 rush thins out by mid-afternoon if you would rather have a real conversation than shuffle through a line. Lloyd Noble sits on the south end of campus off Jenkins, an easy shot down I-35 from downtown OKC. Confirm the room and parking on OU's career fair page before you leave the house; the university lists the venue but not a street address.

OU Healthcare and Biosciences Career Fair — Tuesday, October 6

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Oklahoma Memorial Union, Norman

Two hours, one sector, and the sector happens to be the one carrying the most weight in this metro. Health care and life sciences employ an enormous share of the OKC workforce between the Health Sciences Center campus northeast of downtown, the big private systems, and the research outfits clustered around them. This fair is aimed at students in health, life sciences and biotechnology. OU has not published an alumni invitation for this one the way it did for the Sooner Showcase, so treat it as a student event unless the career center tells you otherwise. If you are a working nurse, tech or lab professional, the October 8 fair in south OKC is the better use of a weekday.

OCCC Fall 2026 Career Fair — Thursday, October 8

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Oklahoma City Community College Gym, Main Building, 7777 S. May Ave.

This is the one to circle. Oklahoma City Community College is planning for more than 80 employers in the gym, it is free to everyone who attends, and it runs across the lunch hour so you can get in and out on a half day. OCCC welcomes its students and its alumni, and the alumni pool in this town is deep — if you took classes off S. May a decade ago, you are the audience. The college is also running prep workshops beforehand on resumes, interview etiquette and how to present yourself on the floor, with seats reserved in advance. OSU-OKC Business and STEM Career Fair — Wednesday, October 21

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Student Center, 3rd Floor, 900 N. Portland Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73107

The last verified fair on the fall calendar, and the most specific. OSU-OKC is pairing two tracks in one room: business, meaning accounting, management and pre-professional studies, and STEM, which here means cybersecurity, data analytics, construction and engineering technologies. That is a sharp match for the metro's actual growth — the tech and back-office hiring that has built up around Oklahoma City over the last decade, plus the construction trades keeping pace with everything going up around the new arena and the MAPS projects. The campus sits just west of the fairgrounds off N. Portland, three minutes from I-40 and easy to reach from Yukon, Bethany or Warr Acres. ⚠️ Read This Before You Drive Over

Every fair on this list is hosted by a school, and that is the catch. None of the four is a walk-up public event where anyone off the street can hand a resume to 80 employers. Each one is open to that institution's students and, in most cases, its alumni.

That is less limiting than it sounds in a metro like this one. Between OU, OCCC and OSU-OKC there are hundreds of thousands of people in central Oklahoma who finished a certificate, an associate degree or a bachelor's at one of those three, and a lot of them have no idea their alumni status still gets them into a room full of recruiters years later. If you took even one term somewhere, call the career center and ask. It is a two-minute phone call and the answer is free.

You want the most employers in one room: October 8 at OCCC. More than 80 companies, free, four hours, and the alumni door is explicitly open.
You are an OU grad in any field: September 16, Sooner Showcase. All majors, alumni named specifically, and it is the only fair here with a four-hour window.
Accounting, management, cybersecurity or data: October 21 at OSU-OKC. The employer mix is built around exactly those tracks.
Construction and engineering technologies: October 21 as well. The STEM half of that fair includes the trades side, not just the desk jobs.
Clinical or lab work and you are currently an OU student: October 6. If you are an alum rather than a student, aim at October 8 instead.

What to Bring to Any of Them

Fifteen printed resumes. Recruiters still take paper at these, and running out at 11 a.m. is a wasted trip.
Your student or alumni ID, or whatever the career center tells you it accepts at the door.
A short answer to "what are you looking for" that names a role, not a feeling.
A phone with your work history already typed somewhere you can copy from — half of these employers will hand you a QR code and ask you to apply on the spot.
Something you can walk in for four hours. The OCCC event is in a gym; the OSU-OKC one is on a third floor.

Campus fairs are a slice of the OKC market, not the whole of it. The metro's steady hiring runs through health systems, the logistics corridors along I-40 and I-44, the corporate offices downtown and in Automobile Alley, and the maintenance and skilled trades work that keeps Tinker, the fairgrounds and every warehouse in between running. None of that waits for a career fair.

Are these Oklahoma City job fairs open to the general public?

No. All four are hosted by colleges and are open to those schools' students and, in most cases, their alumni. OCCC and OSU-OKC both name alumni explicitly, and OU names alumni for the September 16 Sooner Showcase. If you have no connection to any of the three, call the career center before you drive over.

Do any of them cost money?

OCCC states its October 8 fair is free to all participants, and OU describes the Sooner Showcase as free. OSU-OKC has not published a cost for the October 21 fair, so ask when you contact career services.

Is there a public job fair in Oklahoma City this fall?

Nothing we could verify against an organizer's own calendar. Several third-party listings advertise OKC career fairs at hotel venues this fall, but the ones we checked did not publish a full street address or an employer list, and the organizers' own sites were not reachable to confirm them. We left them off rather than send you to an address we could not stand behind.
