Why This Oklahoma City Job Fair Matters
Most of the metro's fall fairs are campus events for students and alumni. This one is different. The listing on the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission's events calendar says plainly that veterans and members of the public are welcome.
It is also part of a steady rhythm. The same Oklahoma Works center north of the State Capitol hosted a job fair on September 14 with several of the same employers, which makes it one of the more dependable places in town to meet a hiring manager face to face. Missed that one? Here is your second shot.
🔥 Who's Recruiting on October 12
The event flyer names six employers so far, with additional hiring agencies and workforce resources on hand:
- Oklahoma Human Services: case managers and child welfare positions.
- Gainwell Technologies: call center, data and health care claims roles, with on-site interviews. Gainwell's Oklahoma City operation handles health care claims and member help desk work, so this is the table for anyone with phone, billing or claims experience.
- Onin Staffing: warehouse, machine operator and fabrication roles, also interviewing on site.
- Utility Asset Management: field technicians, with on-site interviews.
- Standby Personnel: skilled trades, general labor, industrial and logistics placements.
- Accel Financial Staffing Solution: accounting, finance, clerical and health care placements.
No headcounts or pay ranges have been published. Ask each table what is open now, the shift and the starting rate.
📋 How to Show Up Ready
Three of the six tables plan to interview that morning, so treat this as an interview day. Staff will help with resumes and applications on site, but it is easier to walk in finished than to finish there.
- Printed resumes, more than you think you need. Six employers plus agencies adds up fast.
- A photo ID and your work history with dates for quick applications.
- For warehouse, fabrication and field-tech tables: your shift availability and any forklift, welding or equipment experience.
- Arrive early; on-site interview lines build fast.
The center sits on N. Lincoln Boulevard, north of the Capitol complex and a short drive from I-44 and I-35. Questions about the event can go to the address listed on the flyer, Prock.Saynyarack@oesc.ok.gov.
