What DRG Opened Near the Airport

DRG builds and supports the training systems military aircrews learn on: simulators, training devices and the people who keep them running. According to the company's own announcement, the new building adds roughly 20,000 square feet of secure, climate-controlled warehouse space, about 3,000 square feet of offices and a 500-square-foot precision repair room. It makes Oklahoma City the company's primary hub for servicing those components worldwide.

The site also works as home base for tools and equipment used by DRG's more than 25 field service representatives, who support training devices on bases around the globe. The company's president, Philip Busey Jr., summed up the decision to grow here simply: "Oklahoma City is home."

💼 Who DRG Hires, and What We Don't Know Yet

DRG employs more than 1,200 people across 41 states and 19 countries, with about 100 at its headquarters in Quail Springs Corporate Park in north OKC. Its work runs through five divisions: training services, mission support and simulation, field services and logistics, aircraft and ground vehicle sustainment, and functional support services.

Here is the honest part. DRG has not announced any new jobs tied to this facility, and its careers page does not list a hiring push for it. So treat this as a resume-ready moment, not a walk-in hiring event. If your background is in avionics, electronics repair, warehouse and inventory control, logistics or field service, this is a local company worth watching. Openings post through the DRG careers page, and the corporate office answers at (405) 721-7776.

✈️ Why the Will Rogers Corridor Keeps Growing

DRG is not alone out by the airport. In January, AAR opened its 80,000-square-foot Hangar 4 at Will Rogers, adding three Boeing 737 maintenance bays for Alaska Airlines work. The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber reported that expansion would bring about 200 new full-time positions for aircraft mechanics, technicians and support staff.

Put that next to KIHOMAC's planned expansion near Tinker on the other side of the metro, and the pattern is clear. Aerospace and defense is Oklahoma's second-largest industry, and the land around Will Rogers in southwest OKC is where a lot of the hangar and warehouse work lands. If you hold an A&P certificate, have military maintenance experience or know your way around a parts cage, the employers are within a few miles of each other.
